The Florence Crittenton Home in Little Rock serves as an Emergency Shelter for youth in DCFS custody, both male and female ages 13-17. House parents are responsible for the daily care of up to 12 youth. Job Description:

Sunridge Ranch II is seeking a responsible, caring married couple to become houseparent's (HP's) for 2 weeks per month. Sunridge Ranch II, located in Ellensburg Washington, two hours east of Seattle. Sunridge Ranch II was specifically created to promote independent living for four young men with autism and other developmental disabilities.

The mission of Sunridge Ranch II is to provide a life sharing home focusing on living as independently as possible in a safe, caring home. The care philosophy of Sunridge Ranch II emphasizes encouragement and positive reinforcement with support and respect for each resident. Our respite houseparent's are responsible for overseeing their established daily routines while caring for the home. We strive to integrate daily opportunities that a typical person might experience into a unifying whole, so that life is truly as rich and fulfilling as possible.

While on duty HP's will enjoy the luxury of a fabulous home on over 17 acres overlooking the Badger Pocket. The HP's suite offers a private closet, private patio and beautiful bath. The home has a media room, gymnasium, gorgeous outdoor living space and private suites for each resident owner.

Position salary $48,150.00 annually with increases per SEIU. (SEIU beginning rate of $16.74 per hour) PLUS a $1000.00 housing stipend. This will run 2 weeks on (live in) followed by 2 weeks off. 
Clients you are caring for attend an offsite support program for 4 hours per day (* may vary) M-F year round. HP's are responsible for dropping them off in the morning with a Sunridge II provided vehicle and picking them up in the afternoon. The support program is approximately 4 miles from Sunridge II. It does occasionally close for inclement weather.

Qualifications:

*Must meet the training requirements to become a Washington State Individual Provider (IP). Each HP will complete 75 hours of paid training to meet the requirements. Placement shall be contingent upon the results of a Washington State background check. Must have a valid Driver's License and First Aid/CPR certification.
*A high school diploma or equivalent, experience working with developmentally disable individuals preferred but no required.
*Caregivers need to be physically and mentally capable performing residents care plan which includes individual personal hygiene, meal planning, cooking, light housework and light yard maintenance.
*Ability to recognize natural teaching opportunities and act on them. Ability to handle personal care tasks with sensitivity.
*Must be reliable, flexible and have the ability to work well with others.

The live-in Manager plays a vital role in the living and learning experiences of the house residents; and is on the frontline of changing lives! POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Live on the premises and may not be absent overnight unless prior written authorization from direct supervisor and temporary replacement lined up at least 3 months in advance
Live on premises and make sure all residents are following policies, procedures and guidelines
Oversee the upkeep of the house, making sure that residents complete their assigned duties
Identify and develop strategies to assist residents in the resolution of problems
Establish and maintain a rapport with the residents
Oversee the preparation of dining services, including menu preparation
Establish an orderly environment through supervision of the residents
Write purchase orders for household supplies to properly operate the facility, as well as write orders for repair and maintenance, its furnishings, equipment and grounds
Organize activities and maintain a calendar for the students for their appointments
Maintain and complete administrative paperwork
Serve as after hours liaison for emergency resident and maintenance concerns
Keep the house clean following a daily house cleaning chart
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree Preferred, AA or Vocational Certifications
Some experience with youth and/or residential housing
Pass a Level 2 background check
Must be willing to be flexible in work hours to be available for the participants when necessary
Must be willing to work holidays and weekends

Job Description:

Well established, state licensed (not religiously affiliated) group home in the Northern Shenandoah Valley looking for a dynamic individual to fill a full-time position on a 2-person team. The right person would be mature, responsible, high-energy and prepared to love and care for abused/neglected/homeless children, ages 5-18 yrs old.

You must be able to work in a team-oriented environment as well as possess excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be able to manage the varied schedules of our young people as well as provide loving, consistent parenting, daily supervision and discipline. Must have the ability and attitude to work and respond to the needs of a culturally diverse population.

Annual salary is $33,000 per person, per year with medical, dental, and a retirement plan. House parents get 7 days of paid vacation per year as well as generous compensation for holiday’s that fall on their shifts.
House parents work rotating shifts of 7 days on/7 days off. Private In-House apartment, meals and utilities are provided for the 7 days House parents are on-duty. House Parents are responsible for their own accommodations for the 7 days you they are off-duty.

House parents must be at least 21 years of age and in possession of a valid driver’s license. You must be able to pass drug testing and criminal background checks. You must have a High School Diploma OR have a General Education Development Certificate (G.E.D.) and a minimum of six months of experience working with children. CPR & First Aid certification required.
Additional education in the areas of child development, human services, trauma-informed care a plus.

Job Description:

Children's Village is located in Tyler Texas on a beautiful country setting. Our campus consists of 2 homes, an office, a duplex and a beautiful Little Red School House. This is a live in position with 4-5 young children--mainly under the age of 8 years. School age children attend public school. Our homes are co-ed so brothers and sisters can live together. Homes are updated, spacious and have private living quarters for cottage parents. Our campus has a beautiful playground for younger children, a great place to ride bikes and picnic. We use a program, Common Sense Parenting, which emphasizes teaching children social skills, i.e. following instructions, accepting no for an answer, respecting authority, table manners, etc. Our average length of stay is 11 months, with children returning home or being adopted. Each home has a budget to provide for expenses. Pay is up to $24,000 per person, depending on experience.  The Masonic Home of Georgia is looking for a Houseparent Couple to take care of up to 8 boys on one of our new cottages. We are located in Macon, GA which is about 60 miles south of Atlanta.

The couple will work with the children on their cottage as well as the other children here on our campus. We have rotating schedule - working 6 days and then off for 3 days. For the 6 day coverage you are required to be on the grounds.

The Masonic Home provides basic care to the children in our program and each child in our care is here for one reason or another. Our children are both male and female and range in the ages of 5-18.

During your on duty time, you will be working with the boys on your hall - helping them cope with everyday facets of life. Being a positive role model to the children on the hall is important and the Home makes every attempt to provide a structured and consistent atmosphere for the children in our care.

A sampling of responsibilities would be:
Developing a Daily Schedule
Team Oriented (will be working with other Houseparents, Social Workers, Education Director and Director of Home Life)
Taking and Picking children up at school
Taking children to Doctor’s appointments
Cooking some meals on the weekend

Job Description:

Covenant Children's Home houseparents have a wide-range of job responsibilities. Our houseparents act as a parent like figure, with all of the duties and responsibilities of being a parent entails. Including assisting in daily operational duties to maintain and care for the residence home, providing transportation for the children to appointments, activities, and church, supervising the completion of chores, homework or other responsibilities, meeting with classroom teachers to discuss the children under their care, and taking children on activities. Houseparents are required to attend treatment team and staff meetings that will ensure that effective communication is successful related to all youth. House Parents are also required to attend specific training in order to ensure that mandatory requirements are met.

Requirements
Because houseparents work with children, they are required to pass extensive background checks, FBI background checks and local police background checks. Houseparents need to demonstrate a proven track record in working with and assisting children, particularly at-risk children. Currently, Covenant Children's Home is only seeking married individuals to fulfill the houseparent position. Both Spouses will be hired to work together in a home and need to demonstrate the stability and longevity of their relationship.

Scheduling
Because Covenant Children's Home offers round the clock care for children, Houseparents may work atypical schedules. Currently House Parents work 7/7 schedule - One week on and one week off.
