Sunridge Ranch II is seeking a responsible, caring married couple to become houseparent's (HP's) for 2 weeks per month. Sunridge Ranch II, located in Ellensburg Washington, two hours east of Seattle. Sunridge Ranch II was specifically created to promote independent living for four young men with autism and other developmental disabilities.
The mission of Sunridge Ranch II is to provide a life sharing home focusing on living as independently as possible in a safe, caring home. The care philosophy of Sunridge Ranch II emphasizes encouragement and positive reinforcement with support and respect for each resident. Our respite houseparent's are responsible for overseeing their established daily routines while caring for the home. We strive to integrate daily opportunities that a typical person might experience into a unifying whole, so that life is truly as rich and fulfilling as possible.
While on duty HP's will enjoy the luxury of a fabulous home on over 17 acres overlooking the Badger Pocket. The HP's suite offers a private closet, private patio and beautiful bath. The home has a media room, gymnasium, gorgeous outdoor living space and private suites for each resident owner.
Position salary $48,150.00 annually with increases per SEIU. (SEIU beginning rate of $16.74 per hour) PLUS a $1000.00 housing stipend. This will run 2 weeks on (live in) followed by 2 weeks off.
Clients you are caring for attend an offsite support program for 4 hours per day (* may vary) M-F year round. HP's are responsible for dropping them off in the morning with a Sunridge II provided vehicle and picking them up in the afternoon. The support program is approximately 4 miles from Sunridge II. It does occasionally close for inclement weather.
*Must meet the training requirements to become a Washington State Individual Provider (IP). Each HP will complete 75 hours of paid training to meet the requirements. Placement shall be contingent upon the results of a Washington State background check. Must have a valid Driver's License and First Aid/CPR certification.
*A high school diploma or equivalent, experience working with developmentally disable individuals preferred but no required.
*Caregivers need to be physically and mentally capable performing residents care plan which includes individual personal hygiene, meal planning, cooking, light housework and light yard maintenance.
*Ability to recognize natural teaching opportunities and act on them. Ability to handle personal care tasks with sensitivity.
*Must be reliable, flexible and have the ability to work well with others.

Well established, state licensed (not religiously affiliated) group home in the Northern Shenandoah Valley looking for a dynamic individual to fill a full-time position on a 2-person team. The right person would be mature, responsible, high-energy and prepared to love and care for abused/neglected/homeless children, ages 5-18 yrs old.
You must be able to work in a team-oriented environment as well as possess excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be able to manage the varied schedules of our young people as well as provide loving, consistent parenting, daily supervision and discipline. Must have the ability and attitude to work and respond to the needs of a culturally diverse population.
Annual salary is $33,000 per person, per year with medical, dental, and a retirement plan. House parents get 7 days of paid vacation per year as well as generous compensation for holiday’s that fall on their shifts.
House parents work rotating shifts of 7 days on/7 days off. Private In-House apartment, meals and utilities are provided for the 7 days House parents are on-duty. House Parents are responsible for their own accommodations for the 7 days you they are off-duty.
House parents must be at least 21 years of age and in possession of a valid driver’s license. You must be able to pass drug testing and criminal background checks. The couple will work with the children on their cottage as well as the other children here on our campus. We have rotating schedule - working 6 days and then off for 3 days. For the 6 day coverage you are required to be on the grounds.
The Masonic Home provides basic care to the children in our program and each child in our care is here for one reason or another. Our children are both male and female and range in the ages of 5-18.

Covenant Children's Home houseparents have a wide-range of job responsibilities. Our houseparents act as a parent like figure, with all of the duties and responsibilities of being a parent entails. Including assisting in daily operational duties to maintain and care for the residence home, providing transportation for the children to appointments, activities, and church, supervising the completion of chores, homework or other responsibilities, meeting with classroom teachers to discuss the children under their care, and taking children on activities. Houseparents are required to attend treatment team and staff meetings that will ensure that effective communication is successful related to all youth. House Parents are also required to attend specific training in order to ensure that mandatory requirements are met.
Because houseparents work with children, they are required to pass extensive background checks, FBI background checks and local police background checks. Houseparents need to demonstrate a proven track record in working with and assisting children, particularly at-risk children. Currently, Covenant Children's Home is only seeking married individuals to fulfill the houseparent position. Both Spouses will be hired to work together in a home and need to demonstrate the stability and longevity of their relationship.
Because Covenant Children's Home offers round the clock care for children, Houseparents may work atypical schedules. Currently House Parents work 7/7 schedule - One week on and one week off.
