St. Nicholas Academy has an opening for Houseparents. Houseparents are married couples who live at St. Nicholas Academy and care for boys aged 5 to 18. You will be a supervising adult presence in a boarding school that is committed to providing a stable, loving and supportive home environment while ensuring the health and wellbeing of our boarding students. You are essential in managing each student’s home away from home, by preparing them for school each morning, cooking dinner, providing transportation to school and enrichment opportunities, helping with homework, assisting them in their daily lives, and more. Houseparents are there for their students before and after school, ensuring they have the care, structure, and opportunities to thrive in all areas of life. Group Home Youth Worker – Smoky Mountain Children’s Home
Would you like to make a positive difference in the lives of at-risk youth? As a Youth Worker for Smoky mountain Children's Home, a faith-based, non-profit organization, you will join a team of dedicated individuals who oversee all aspects of welfare for the youth on our residential campus.

Responsibilities:
Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to adolescent youth
Model and encourage positive attitudes and behaviors
Help teach social and independent living life skills, including coping mechanisms
Ensure the safety of every youth
Prepare healthy meals daily
Provide daily routines and structure in a home environment

Hillside Haven is seeking a responsible, caring married couple to become houseparents for 2 weeks per month. Hillside Haven is located in Ellensburg, WA, just 2 hours east of Seattle. Hillside Haven was created to promote independent living for four young men with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Our mission is to provide a life sharing home focusing on living as independently as possible in a safe, caring home. The care philosophy of Hillside Haven emphasizes encouragement and positive reinforcement with support and respect for each resident. The houseparents are responsible for overseeing their established daily routines while caring for the home. We strive to integrate daily opportunities that a typical person might experience into a unifying whole, so that life is truly as rich and fulfilling as possible.

Hillside Haven was constructed on 6 acres with stunning views of the valley, mountains, and Mt. Rainier. The house offers open concept living room, dinning room, and spacious kitchen. There is also a movie room and an office. Downstairs there are four private suites for each resident owner, the houseparent's suite, a tv room, and laundry room.
Position salary $48,150.00 annually with increases per SEIU (SEIU beginning rate of $16.75 per hour). This will run 2 weeks on (live in) followed by 2 weeks off.

Residents you are caring for attend an off-site (Trellis Center)support program 4 hours a day Mon – Fri, year-round. Houseparents are responsible for dropping them off with the provided vehicle and picking them up at the end of the clients shift. Hours fluctuate according to season and circumstances. The Trellis Center is located approximately 1 mile from Hillside Haven.

Qualifications:
*Must meet the training requirements to become a Washington State Individual Provider (IP). Each HP will complete 75 hours of paid training to meet the requirements. Placement shall be contingent upon the results of a Washington State background check. Must have a valid Driver's License and First Aid/CPR certification.
*A High School diploma or equivalent, experience working with developmentally disable individuals preferred but no required.
* Caregivers need to be physically and mentally capable performing residents care plan which includes individual personal hygiene, meal planning, cooking, light housework and light yard maintenance.

 The House Parent works under the direction of the Community Services Director, managing the care of up to several children at one time.
