Job Description:  

Diverse Journeys, Inc. is a private non-profit Family Home Agency that develops and manages Family Teaching Homes for adults with intellectual disabilities and a dual diagnosis in West Los Angeles.

We are excited to announce the opening of a new Family Teaching Home in West Los Angeles and are are seeking applications from committed couples to serve as "Houseparents" who will provide support to three clients to meet their physical, psychological and social needs. Committed couples can be married, domestic partners, long time live in partners or any relationship that demonstrates a commitment to each other in a long term, meaningful way. The three clients and the Houseparent Couple will be living in a duplex, with each residing in their own home.

The successful candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience in management and direct support services for people with intellectual disabilities. Candidates must also have a clear background as evidenced by a DDS livescan, good driving record and a current CA driving license. Must be open to a flexible work schedule that does require some on-call backup as needed. A BA in the field of Social Services is desirable but not essential.

This position offers free rent and utilities on a newly remodeled duplex, with a parking space and use of company van. Job Title: Assistant Director of Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Homes

Job Summary:

The purpose of the Assistant Director of Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Homes is to assist the Director by providing supervision to Houseparents and Case Workers in the Cottage Based and Community Based Care programs as well as the Step Forward Transitional Living program. The Assistant Director of Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Homes will work with the Director of PHBGH to expand the Community Based Care program.

Basic/Essential Job Functions:
• Supervise Houseparents, Healthcare Coordinator, and no more than eight (8) Case Workers
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the needs of the staff are met so that staff members feel supported and to improve staff retention.
• Meet with Residential Care staff, Houseparents, Healthcare Coordinator, and Case Workers
• Evaluate and provide feedback to staff members
• Attend Managers and Directors meeting and all staff meetings
• Meet with the Director of PHBGH to develop and fulfill the strategic plan
• Hold direct reports responsible for fulfilling their roles
• Review applicants and interview candidates for hire
• Assist in developing the annual budget

Required/Preferred Education:
• Bachelor degree (Required) – related field
• Graduate degree (Required) – MSW (Masters in Social Work) from a college or university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education plus 3 years of experience in providing casework services to children and families; or a graduate degree in a related field with at least 4 years of experience in providing casework services to children and families in a child placing agency; or a baccalaureate degree plus 5 years of experience in proving casework services to children and families.

• 3-5 years of Supervisory experience

We are seeking two full-time couples for our fully-furnished homes that serve up to 12 children, ages 6-17, in basic care. Job Description:  

Arizona Youth Partnership is currently accepting applications for a live-in House Manager to work at a 5-bed home-like shelter facility center program in Bullhead City, AZ. Qualified candidates will provide supervision, guidance and practical assistance to five (5) homeless girls ages 12-17 in a group home setting. Room and board provided with a separate bedroom and bath in the home. Hours are generally Sunday evening-Friday morning with 2 8-hour respite shifts off each week. The position includes excellent health benefits, paid time off, and a supportive team. The position is for one person only; however, a couple can live-in.

The House Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the center which includes: preparing meals, transporting children to school, faith-based and community activities, doctor and/or mental health appointments. Additionally, the qualified candidate will provide healthy living training and teach positive life skills, hygiene, and other relationship skills.
