Job Description:  

Texas Pythian Home, Inc., a Christian based residential child care program in Texas with a rich history of over 100 years of serving children from families in need has an opening for a full-time, live-in, married couple. The position entails taking children to appointments, administering medications and paperwork involved with taking care of children. The Direct Care Staff are involved in the physical, spiritual, emotional and educational development of children ranging in age from 2-17. Applicants must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license, a high school diploma or GED and experience working with children. Good work ethic, attention to details, the ability to work in a team setting and complete paperwork in a timely manner. Benefits include housing, medical, dental and life insurance, a retirement plan and paid vacation. Due to the limited space in our staff living quarters, we are unable to accommodate families with more than 2 (same sex) children.

Job Description:  

Never Too Late, Inc., a boys only group foster home, is looking for a mature house parent couple (married husband and wife), that identify with our core values and adopt our mission as their own. As house parents, the couple will live in and manage a home with upwards to 16 boys, ranging in age from 8-18 years. We are looking for high energy, responsible, flexible, nonjudgmental couples. We need a couple that is capable of utilizing a nurturing and loving approach to provide boundaries and structure with the children. Our house parents will provide constant mentorship and role modeling that will forever shape children's lives, cultivate their character, and set them on a path for success.
Duties to include, but not limited to:
1.            Provide direct care and supervision of the children residing at the Home, including daily hygiene, homework, chores, and meal planning and preparation.
2.            Transport children to and from sports activities, as well as doctor and counseling appointments.
3.            Plan group activities for the children in care as their schedules allow.
4.            Ensure the safety of all residents
5.            Complete a daily log of the children in care.
6.            Administer daily medications to the children and properly document all medications given.
7.            Discipline children according to the policies and procedures of Never Too Late.
8.            Complete incident reports for any event that happens with a child according to the State of Georgia guidelines.
9.            Work with each child's case manager and Executive Director to ensure proper care for the children.
10.          Perform household chores as needed or requested.
11.          Assist with coordination of volunteer groups as needed.
12.          Call Executive Director or Human Services Professional with all referrals from DFACS during your shift.
13.          Stay within assigned budget on all expenditures including groceries and recreation. Keep a receipt and turn in the Administrative Assistant for all expenditures.
14.          Complete all training necessary as required by the State of Georgia and the Never Too Late policies
15.          Other duties as assigned.

The Lukas Community, a small residential community, located in beautiful rural Temple, NH is looking for caring, responsible adults who – as house parents in one of our extended -family households, or as single co-workers – find meaning and fulfillment in sharing their lives and daily work with individuals in need of special care. We strive to provide a supportive environment in which each individual can unfold their special gifts while we try to meet their particular needs by creating a rich therapeutic environment including activities such as gardening, animal care, crafts, cooking, music and movement, to name just a few. Previous experience would be welcome but is not a requirement. Accommodation and food from our own organic garden will be provided along with a monthly stipend, health benefits, tuition aid for parents with school aged children, and 4 – 6 weeks of vacation per year.
