Job Description:  

The Primary Parents provides for the safety and welfare of the children by providing a family style environment. The Primary Parents plans meals and purchases and prepares food suitable to the dietary needs of the children in their care. The Primary Parents ensures that each child is equipped with adequate seasonal clothing and ensures that the clothing and bedding is kept clean and in good repair. The Primary Parents ensures that a daily schedule is established to meet the children's needs for education, transportation, adequate rest, physical activity and social interaction etc. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required Attributes: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. At least 21 years of age. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Job Description:  

The Relief Parent provides for the safety and welfare of the children by providing a family style environment. The Relief Parent may purchase and prepare meals as directed by the Primary Parent. The Relief Parent assists in maintaining the children's seasonal wardrobe and alerts the Primary Parents to clothing needs for the children. The Relief Parent ensures that the daily schedule established to meet the children's needs for adequate rest, physical activity and social interaction is followed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. Job Description:  

Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services (PCHAS) needs Foster Parents for The Foster Care Village in Itasca, Texas. The Foster Care Village includes the following supports for foster parents:

• Neighborhood amenities including a full gym/workout room & pool with summer life guards
• Large Homes set up for placement of 6 foster children; rent & utilities waived (certain requirements outlined in the lease agreement)
• Generous reimbursement rate subsidized by PCHAS
• Program Director and Case Managers on site
• Education Services Director supervising after school on site tutoring and support with the Itasca Independent School District
• Overnight babysitting home with monthly rotation for up to 72 hours
• Village Life Coordinator planning weekly learning and fun activities
• Within 45 to 55 miles of Fort Worth, Dallas, and Arlington, Texas

Who qualifies:
• Willing to have 6 children in the home, including foster parent's biological or adopted children with requirement of 4 foster children
• Willing to abide by requirements set out in The Village home lease
