Job Description:  

Sunridge Ranch is seeking a responsible, caring married couple to become our Respite Houseparent's. Sunridge Ranch, located in Ellensburg, which is two hours east from Seattle, was specifically designed and created to promote independent living for four young men with developmental disabilities.

The care philosophy of Sunridge Ranch emphasizes encouragement and positive reinforcement with respect for each resident. Our respite houseparent's are responsible for overseeing the residents established daily routines while caring for the home while at each home. We strive to integrate daily opportunities that a typical person might experience into a unifying whole, so that life is truly as rich and fulfilling as possible.

Position Salary starting at: $57,600 per couple, which includes bi-annual salary increases along with a comprehensive benefit package. Separate private housing is included.

Work Schedule: Three weeks on and one week off supporting three ( 3 )model homes.. Will also earn PTO at a rate of 7 days per year. Clients you are caring for attend an offsite support program (The Trellis Center) M-F year round.

Qualifications:
• Must meet the training requirements to become a Washington State Individual Care Provider (IP). Each houseparent will complete 75 hrs. of paid training to meet the requirements. Employment shall be contingent upon the results of a Washington State background check. Must have a valid Driver's License.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; experience working with developmentally disabled individuals preferred.
• Caregivers need to be physically and mentally capable performing residents care plan which includes individual personal hygiene, meal planning, cooking, light housework and light yard maintenance.
• Must be reliable, flexible and have the ability to work in a team environment.

Job Description:  

Seeking Teaching Parents who would like the ability own their own home, make their own financial decisions and facilitate lifelong learning with at risk female youth that the teaching parents deem appropriate for their homes population. Community Teaching Homes, Inc. has a beautifully licensed home available in a lovely community located just outside Toledo, Ohio. This community has an excellent school system and supportive community. Current teaching parents of this home are retiring after 48 wonderful years impacting the lives of the female population placed in the home. Applicants must be self-starting and motivated to succeed, capable of independent decision making, and ability to be a team player.

Established in 2002, Community Teaching Homes, Inc. (CTH) is a not for-profit 501c (3) organization with the mission to provide counseling and therapeutic family style community based care with the conviction that all children have great intrinsic worth and are capable of positive change. Being part of the CTH team means joining a family that is passionate about improving the lives of the youth in our state and providing a safe environment for them to learn and grow. The teaching parents, directors and employees at CTH are committed, hardworking and dedicated to providing the best care for our youth. The couple we are looking to join our agency will be required to provide the following:

  • Care and supervision for all youth placed in your home
  • A Positive Role Model and Positive Environment
  • Home Management and Quality Conformance in accordance to various regulatory bodies
  • Teach Independent Living Skills
  • Administration and Documentation of Medication, Medical Appointments and Other Appointments
  • Facilitate Treatment Team Contacts For Each Youth
  • Accountable for home and program 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
  • Implement family teaching treatment programs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Good physical and mental heath
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with emotional disturbed and delinquent youth in a community based or residential setting or a Bachelor's degree with course work related to working with children and families or Licensed to bill for Medicaid services
  • Able to meet all licensing requirements for all CTH regulatory bodies
  • Able to submit 3 professional reference letters
  • Able to pass a background check, drug screen, TB test and physical.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Teaching Family certification, training or program implementation
