Wolf Creek Academy is a Christian therapeutic boarding school located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.

Job Description:  

CHRIS 180 is seeking Live-In individuals or married couples to work as House Parents to create a family style setting for up to 4 siblings reunited for adoptive preparedness. (*If married, one spouse has to be identified to solely work as the House Parent).

Being a house parent is more of a mission/calling than your occupation. While on duty, this is a 24-hour a day responsibility, just like being a parent to your own children. You must have an innate concern for the wellbeing of children and youth.

Applicants must have a valid Georgia driver’s license, High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience (preferably at least one year) in dealing with children and adolescents. Must be at least 25 years of age, (if applicable) and if married a minimum of two years unless approved by program manager
The ideal candidate(s) must be able to handle high stress; be well organized, have PC related skills, a direct and factual communication style; must be able to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities during the day; ability to related to a wide variety of individuals and be able to work as part of a team with all providers and state agency partners.

The Sunset, SC campus of Hannah Grace Homes is situated on a beautiful lake surrounded by 40 tranquil acres. Hannah Grace Homes is currently seeking Christian, married couples to fill our openings of house parents. House parents will live in our attractive, updated comfortable home providing a loving, nurturing yet structured environment for the children in our care.

Qualifications:
•High School Diploma and a minimum of 21 years of age
•Pass background checks and drug testing
•Valid SC Driver’s license and clean driving record
•Medical screening which includes TB testing
•2 Character reference letters
•Must be able to pass specialized on-going training such as CPR and Crisis Management Protocol
•Be willing to work with children from various backgrounds with the possibility of having difficult behaviors.
•Be willing to serve as a Christian role-model and provide unconditional love, acceptance and fair treatment to children in need.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:
•Provide direct care and supervision of the children while maintaining a safe and stable environment
•Maintain required documentation
•Plan, participate and supervise activities with the children such as homework, chores and recreational activities
•Perform behavior management techniques as needed
•Schedule and transport children to and from medical appointments. Disperse medication
•Attend training and meetings as needed
