Job Description:

Rawhide is a faith-based residential treatment center that has been in
the business of helping at-risk youth for over 40 years. During these 40 years,
Houseparents have been an integral part in ministering to the unique needs of
the youth that we serve.
Rawhide works with male youth ages 13-17. Most of the youth we work with are
court ordered to treatment with us. However, we do offer one "voluntary
placement" program for youth that are not currently under court order to
receive treatment.
Over the years, our youth indicate that the relationship they have formed with
their Houseparents as a key motivating factor for their successful physical,
social, and spiritual development.
Houseparents administrate the homes they live in. They are responsible for
maintaining a cohesive family unit and maintaining communication with parents,
workers, and guardians. They identify spiritual needs, correct negative
behavior, tutor, plan activities and events, counsel/advise and teach the
students to work through daily problems that may come up in the course of a
day. The job of houseparents also includes coordinating the daily functions of
the home such as: meals, recreation, and supervision of house staff. For more
information, visit our website (www.rawhide.org)!!
